Preventing your dog from having Roundworm

Roundworms are most likely the kind of worms dogs get most. And there are several things to keep in mind, to prevent your dog from getting them:

Don't let your dog eat wild animals or rodents
Don't let your dog eat feces
Always clean up after your dog's feces
This one's hard, since dog's are constantly sniffing the ground, but try as much as possible to keep your dog's nose off the ground. So they can't pick up anything that could potentially give them worms.

Natural Tick and Flea Remedy

If your dog is just as sensitive and allergic to the medications and treatments for preventing flea and ticks, as my dog Meagan, you may want to try an all natural remedy. This is what we put on our dogs every time we head out on a hike in the woods, and it works like a charm: Mix 1 part lemon concentrate with 1 part water into spray bottle, mix well. Avoid spraying the eyes, by rubbing mixture on the face. Apply every time you head out to the woods. Always check for ticks after the hike. This is something we do after every hike as an extra precaution, and so far our dogs have been tick free!
